Nada is amazing at what she does and an absolute pleasure to have in your house. Not only is she an expert tuner, she's a wealth of knowledge and helped us immensely when choosing a piano to invest in. I can't recommend her highly enough.

I have an Alex Steinbach upright grand. Romance I think. It is a dark brown. I bought this piano in the 80s. We were living in Townville North Queensland. I had a dehumidifier installed so the wood would not swell and of course change the tone of the keys. I also keep camphor blocks in it to stop the bugs eating the felt or boring into the wood. Every year I had it tuned by the original Steinbach agent. I have since 2003 been living in Canberra. Now the humidifier is turned off and I add moisture to prevent wood cracking a from drying out. I leave containers of water at the bottom of the piano. What I found whilst living here that having a good piano turner is very important. One who loves doing what they do and the pianos they work on. I was lucky to find a wonderful tuner for me in Canberra, Nada Jasz. Nada does not live in the ACT but travels to Canberra when needed. She has a wonderful ear and my piano is well look after by her. As to the tone of the piano when she tunes she asks me how do I want it to sound. Concert, Jazzy, Pop etc. So I pick one and get a different tone till next tune up. Of late I prefer concert. I am a bit heavy in my playing and she even accommodates that. It is nice to have options. My Steinbach responds well to all. Thank you Nada Jasz. Whatever piano you get look after it and it will give enjoyment to all, long after we die. Thanks to my Steinbach and those who made her.
