Legendary winery established by John Kirk. Rob showed us the wines on a glorious sunny day. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My dog snoozed contentedly at our table. If you are touring the Canberra region wineries then this is a must stop. The 2014 Shiraz Viognier is one of Australia's great wines.

Capital Food Adventure

Had a great time at Clonakilla winery, our favourite winery in Australia! Their wines do an amazing job in representing the Canberra District. We loved their Shiraz and Riesling.

Our party of six visited the cellar door on a Monday morning in February2021 when it was very quiet. The vintner, Robert, was very affable and made us feel very welcome. He shared his knowledge of wine making generously and gave us an unhurried, educational and most pleasurable wine tasting experience. Our visitors from Sydney enjoyed the morning and had a most memorable time.

Very happy to see strong adherence to Co-Vid safety for all. Absolutely fabulous wines and the vineyards are so close which just adds to the amazing experience. The service is friendly, open and honest. There is no selling pressure here as the wines speak for themselves. We bought 2019 Viogner 2018 O'riada Shiraz 2018 Shiraz Viogner all up 6 bottles. This is a must for wine lovers both new and experienced.

A superb wine tasting experience - a must stop place if you are in the Yass Valley area. Very nicely set up with outdoor seating overlooking the vineyards, our host Harry was simply outstanding. Knowledgeable & service oriented, he ensured everyone was well looked after & presented the wines beautifully. The setting, ambience & overall mood was perfect for an afternoon of tasting the excellent wines (which are served on Qantas First & Business). Kudos to the vineyard & its team!

One of the best wineries in the country. The Shiraz Viognier is an iconic wine that changed the face of Australian wine making. The cellar door is airy, breezy and the staff are extremely knowledgeable about their product and everybody had a smile on their face! A great place, a great cellar door.

Worth a visit. Nicely laid out and scenic. The wines don't really compare to the more famous regions in other states, but it's probably something in the soil that makes them a bit on the bitter side. Still, we enjoyed the experience.
