I have just finished my open water course with dive world after they were recommended to me by a friend who did her dive master course there . Both instructors Nick and Tom made it an enjoyable experience from start to finish . Both Nick and Tom made sure everyone was comfortable with all the skills , equipment we would be using and theory which made me feel comfortable and safe in the water. I would recommend the team at Dive world for anyone considering diving. I will definitely be back to do my advanced course. Thanks to Ray and all the team

I decided to do my Assistant Instructor and Open Water SCUBA Instructor course and exam prep with Dive World and I'm so pleased I did. Great support and professional conduct from start to finish, and a friendly, family run business that I'm looking forward to joining now that I'm a fully qualified instructor! Thanks Dive World!
Disappointing. I joined a dive training and paid gear rental for the entirety of the training. I was ensured repeatedly by the diving instructor that the money was fully refundable. I couldn't make it to the last day's training and told the diving instructor. Again the instructor said I would get my rental refund but he didn't have the authority to to it (strangely he was the one who collected the fees at the beginning), and all I needed to do was to give them a call. I have called a number of times and no one ever picked up the phone. Emails sent didn't get a single reply. It's the worst customer service ever if they even have a customer service. Super dodgy. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
These people are great very friendly and professional got great gear and good trips. Fantastic atmosphere and attitude. In shop.
Very unprofessional, and wanted to cut corners time and time again. Unfortunately for new divers, or inexperienced professionals, they were easily blinded by the smoke screen of lies. I have never referred a single person to Dive World. Now I see another company has been set up saying 20 years experience, so the lies unfortunately continue, and the risks to people's health and property continues.
Lots of fun, personal staff who really go out of there way to make sure you enjoy your diving. Recommend, recommend, recommend!!!
I did my Open Water dive course with Dive World in October 2013 and had heaps of fun. However, it is now January 2014 and I have still not received my PADI Open Water Manual (they didn't have any to give the students). Apparently they now have them in stock but refuse to send me one until I pay for postage (20??). There were numerous things that happened over the two weekend course that I'm sure were not to PADI standards, but I let them slide because I just wanted my to get my ticket so I could start adventuring. Overall I was had a good time and met some cool people, but just be aware that if you are going to dive with these guys there are lots of hidden costs, pressure to buy equipment from their store (or use their second rate non-functioning gear) and a degree of unprofessionalism in their methods. Happy to now be certified but will be contacting PADI.
