Went there only once. They treated me really well and we're able to answer any queries I had! In terms of pricing and the way they treat their customers, I think they're much better than most stores! Will definitely be making this store my go-to Asian grocery store from now on! The only regret I had was not making this my go-to Asian grocery store early on!

Back again and was not disappointed by the large selection of new beers. Many of which from microbreweries across Victoria which cannot be found at Dans or other big chain liquor store. Keep up the great work Pete and Bailu!
I love going to Mr. Mama, I find interesting things I don't find elsewhere. Very helpful service and recommendations. Also an interesting choice with the alcoholic drinks, a lovely sake peach drink, only 2% alcohol. Very refreshing. Highly recommend Mr. Mama.
Most items are pricey and they sell a lot of expired items. I have bought a fair share of items and did not check the expiry date, and only realized once I’ve opened the package and found that the taste is off. This is very unprofessional and should be illegal.
I love visiting Mama international as they have lots of variety in asian food. It's my go to store for asian snacks and noodles! They are also very quick with customer service and prompt with resolving any issues.
Great shop in malvern, even in Melbourne Always could find fancy snacks from Japan and China. Fully stocked with fresh vegetables and variety of sauces from China/Malaysia/Indonesia/Singapore and America etc. Save me time for cooking and make me a good cooker(maybe ahahaha). Highly recommended to all;)
I've been coming here for years since before it changed name to Mr Mama. Over the last year, I have become increasingly disappointed and had to shop elsewhere. Specifically, various kinds of fresh, rice noodles rarely seem to be available whereas they used to be well stocked. The shop was renovated but now it's a cluttered mess with cardboard boxes of goods dotted along the aisles making many trip hazards and now one has to push past other people. It's so unnecessary as the aisles are plenty wide enough if the boxes aren't left on the floor. On my most recent visit, I found there was very little rice available which is weird for an asian grocery store. There used to be a number of brands, types and sizes and this time there was very little range. I just wanted some jasmine rice and couldn't even buy that in 5kg or bigger bags. When I asked the lady at the counter if she had any more rice, she replied that she had no English. I can understand employing people with limited English as the job will probably help them to improve but no English at all made a frustrating experience even more so. Maybe the owners of this place have changed? Whoever they are, I hope they read this review and address the shortcomings I have identified as I'd prefer not to have to drive further for asian groceries.
