Fun to explore the fort. And a very good place to watch the sunrise from.
Great place for a walk and has stunning views
A fascinating part of Sydney’s history. From 1801 to the mid 1970’s at the end of the Vietnam war, Muddle ahead was an active military base. The military moved out the in the 90’s and the property was handed over to the Harbour Trust. Parts are also part of Sydney Harbour National Park. There are km of walking tracks both through the bush and around the old base. Plus some stunning harbour views.

Found this spot via Google maps to get a clear shot east of the sunrise. And gee was this a great option! Easy to access, could park pretty close by, and the old ruins are a cool setting for a special time of day!
Middle head has some great plants. You can have a great time here you can have a walk with family or friends
