It is a relatively small sanctuary area. It is superior to other zoos in terms of the friendliness of the kangaroos and wallabies. Be sure to buy kangaroo food! Here is a great place for small children to experience feeding the animals. The staff is very friendly. And, after the park closed, we waited for a cab for a long time, and one of the staff took us to the Frankston station. I will never forget his kindness.

Night Tour - Have been during the day a few weeks ago so thought we'd try the night tour (2 adults and 2 older teens). I was a bit dubious about how this would be any different and was the extra cost justified. I couldn't have been more wrong. The night tour is both an exceptional experience and value for money. You are in a small group of up to 12 people and everyone is given animal food. The guide gives you a very informative tour across all sections of the park and you get to enter some restricted areas to get up close and personal with some of the animals. Most of the animals are much more active during dusk and evening, and the wallabies and kangaroos will seek you out for food. The tour took almost 2hrs. Moonlit Sanctuary is on the 'must visit' list , for all our friends!

This was amazing!!! We went early and got to feed lots of wallabies and kangaroos. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Everything is clearly marked and easy to find. It's also a really good size for kids or people with chronic illnesses, large enough to be satisfying but not exhausting. The cafe is cute with a wide variety of merchandise available.

A great way to get up close with a few kangaroos and wallabies, and the odd cape barron goose... buying the food for the critters at the gate (or online) will ensure you have them coming to you, they are all super friendly (as are the keepers, but they dont eat out of your hand)....we had a (just) 4 yr old with us, she had a ball, and didn't feel threatened by the animals at all... there are a few other species there, in pens or on stage... I would go back
