Modern, safe and fast boat fleet. Friendly, professional, fun but safe staff despite being a larger busier operation. Access to some fantastic diving locations which are diverse and in very good health. No you definitely do not have to suffer going to Cairns to have an exceptional scuba experience in Queensland!

My husband did a Reactivation course with the Jack from Sunreef, and had a great afternoon. He tailored the pace of the course to suit his experience, and couldn’t speak highly enough of him. The rest of the Sunreef crew were super friendly, and shout out to John for his help on Sunday. Would recommend to anyone wanting to dive around the Mooloolaba area.

Dan took us out jet skiing yesterday and we had the best time. He was awesome in giving us safety info and then letting us whip around for the hour. Thanks for making it a fun and chill experience. We are return Sunreef customers and you guys are one of the biggest reasons why! See you guys again soon and thanks again, Dan!

To be fair. We booked a dive for 3 of us to the Ex-HMAS Brisbane one morning. From the moment we arrived it was just mayhem and very little organization. Staff were running everywhere and no one seemed to be taking control. There were customers on incorrect boats and Staff not knowing which boat they were going on. Once of the dive site it was discovered that the company had not brought any water out for the customers and the snacks as advertised online was 1 tiny packet of chips and one per person. (energy intensive dives could require something with a little more substance for this amount of time on water) The hire gear, especially fins was of low quality causing blisters and tiny meanwhile charged out at a fortune for gear which was worth about the price of one hire. The staff were all nice people however and were willing to help, I feel as though it was just a business where the owner/manager has dialed in rich with major market share and isn't concerned about quality or team leadership. After 45 countries this was the worst dive operation I've seen, with poor head counts, not taking dive times on occasions and poor staff training in knowing their vessel and processes. Lucky its close to shore as its only a matter of time before someone gets left out there by accident. I only dived one of the two dives due to concerns and gear quality. 1 out of 5 I'm afraid and ill leave it up to you to make your own decisions, these were just my observations and found they left alot of opportunity on the table to provide a better service.

Even with challenging conditions, we still had a good experience today. Thanks to our instructor Olivia as well for managing to guide us. We look forward to coming back and can’t wait for the night dive and great visibility.
