Being an exchange student has changed the way I view my life completely. I appreciate everything my host family does for me because to me my host family is what the exchange is about. To them, I am not an exchange student but more like their long lost daughter. This was the best decision I ever made.

If I could give them half a star I would. I loved my experience, but suffered horribly mentaly and recieved no support from this organisation I had a very difficult time on exchange, I had the courage to write about in my weekly 'postcards' (check ups) that are send to student exchange. Before I went on exchange, they reasured us of their amazing support system that helps exchange students get through hard times. This is a LIE, there reply to my cry for help was usally along the lines of ' have you told your local-coordinator?' if i got one at all. Which I understand is a resonable question, however I recieved no support from them and always short unhelpful reply's like above or ' check in the student notebook, its in there. ' so although yes they will get you to another country and set up all you need. Their is no support and sometimes they woudn't even reply to my emails. If you are thinking about going on exchange maybe this organisation will work for you, but let me tell you the Asian coordinator is unorganised, they seem to be always unable to reply to emails, and their 'it's in the handbook' remains me very much of that slack teacher's 'its in the textbook'. Please think hard before you decide on what organised you choose and be prepared because i'm sure t will be hard no matter the organisation. P.s Who gives themselves a 5 star review?? Just a little desperate I see.

You can obtain a work and travel visa without going through the Student Exchange middle man and I highly recommend doing that as this company is just an extra hassle to deal with, probably adds to the cost, and doesnt support you whether you have questions at home or are needing help overseas. The staff arent aware of all the extra fees charged at the consulate as well so my experience was full of last minute expenditure and surprises which i did not love! EDIT: since you can't respond to the company's comments (not sure why theyre even allowed to comment, its a review...take the criticism for gods sake) just want to highlight - THINGS WERE ALREADY TERRIBLE WITH THIS SERVICE PRIOR TO COVID-19!)

Exchange was a life changing experience for me and it allowed me to experience things that I never thought possible. I got to play American football and its so completely different to rugby as well as learn that America has a very different culture to our own. Their traditions are pretty cool, such as Thanksgiving and going to choose the Christmas tree together and the food was not what I expected. I had to learn to open up to my new family and they have now become great friends who want to come visit us next year. I gained so much from my exchange and its been one of the best experiences I have ever had. Thanks Student Exchange Australia New Zealand for this great opportunity and for your professionalism.

Student Exchange Australia New Zealand were fantastic. They made the whole application process so easy and their staff were very helpful. I received great support while I was in France and I couldn't have asked for a better host family. We still speak on a regular basis even though I have returned home now. I miss them a lot. Going on exchange was one of the best experiences of my life. It challenged me and gave me confidence I never knew I had. I met some of my best friends and cherish all the memories. I can't wait to do more traveling and to go back to visit my host family.
