Far Side

Medibank offer two pairs of glasses a year with Specsavers. Now I can see why. They have state of art machinery - check out my eye scan- and also offer a free hearing test. Remember this, from time of getting eyes tested and choosing a plan, expect up to a three week wait before you can pick up your Specsavers.

Where do I start. The optometrist who I saw picked up on what my previous optometrist has missed over the past 5 years; and has potentially changed my life in terms of reading and academics (I will update this review once I get and trial my glasses). He actually showed me exercises to correct issues with my eyes and I am beyond excited about it all. I will update this with the optometrists name. Then, the young sales assistant named Allix was beyond incredible at her job. She asked what design I wanted, I very quickly flicked through multiple screenshots on my phone, I kid you not, within less than a minute she had most of the designs in her hands. I was looking for a clear frame for my specs and she was so polite and observant and told me that make-up would cause discolouration of the frame; which was a huge impact on my decision because I hate dirty glasses. Between her and the optometrist I was so amazed by the attention to detail. I felt incredible when I left. Thank you. Your sales assistants all seem really well-informed (I watched a couple of them while I waited for my appointment) they are quite observant there and I think they definitely deserve acknowledgment for that. That store was very busy when I was in there too, which is usually when service suffers...

I managed to get In via a cancellation appointment. Never been to this Specsavers before but I will definitely go back. The service was fantastic. From the optometrist Salil, through to each team member that I dealt with (Sharon and Allix). I left feeling happy and genuinely looked after. Thanks guys for taking care of me. Red

Went here today to ask if my new glasses has arrived. The lady served me was so cool and friendly,she checked it for me straight away without hesitation. She then said my first pair has arrived (my second pairs hasn't) and she'd sort it out for me so I could bring them home today. She did and I had my new glasses with me now. Really appreciate the lady's service today, because I had a disappointing experience couple days earlier when I went there to ask the same question about my glasses. Not even asking my name or when did I order them, let alone checked it for me, the lady (different one from today, obviously) simply said "you'll get text messages when they're ready". Not helping at all.

absolutely love this place! went there saturday morning to get my glasses fixed cause they were a little crooked and the lady working there was great! she explained that she can fix them but they may break because of the pressure that needs to be put on the joints of the glasses and asked whether she wants me to continue and we did. i went to australia post and came back to squeaky clean glasses perfectly balances with a new set of nose pads which mine were taken off. not only did she resolve my problem but she also cleaned them and gave me an amazing experience thank you to that lady! wish i saw her name.

Specsavers have always been an affordable place to buy glasses. I have been purchasing all our prescription glasses from here for more than 5 years and will continue to do so in the future. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. If I could've given them 10 stars I would.

Spec savers are horrible! I’ve been going here for most of my life and today I decided to try a different optometrist. I found out that spec savers have been making me use multi focal lenses (which are an additional 150 on top of frames) and telling me that I am short AND long sighted when I am NEITHER. So for the past 2 years I have been using multifocal lenses that spec saver has recommended and it has been giving me migraines and dizziness when I’m reality all I needed were single vision lenses. I have been ripped off and my vision has been further damaged by them. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
