I have had best experience with my first pregnancy and the C section that Dr Norman Chan operated 2 years ago. He is the best of best. I haven’t had any pain or complications after surgery. Everything went so good. Now I am seeing Dr Chan for my second pregnancy and I am sure everything will go well like my first experience. If you are looking for a caring, professional and experienced surgeon Dr chan is the one.

From beginning to end of my pregnancy Dr Chan showed little interest in my pregnancy and it ended in a complete disaster. When i arrived for my c-section in the theatre room and sat on the operating table he made no acknowledgement of me- he sat in the corner of the room head down, on his phone. After a disaster of an operation, i ended up in ICU for several days due to severe blood loss. I had no previous health issues whatsoever. I would never recommend this doctor to even my worst enemy. I cannot believe there are doctors out there like this. This experience tells me to go with your gut feeling when you first meet your doctor....

I have been a patient of Dr Chan for a few years. Over this time he has given me extensive advice and management of several gynaecological issues, including endometriosis. I have recently undertaken surgery with Dr Chan (not my first) and he made me feel completely at ease and was available to answer any questions I had. I have always found Norman and his staff to be very welcoming, professional and knowledgeable.

I saw Dr Chan as my gynaecologist early this year after suffering severe pelvic pain for a number of years. After consultation I chose to have a laparoscopy which showed I had endometriosis. During surgery Dr Chan cauterised the endometriosis, the laparoscopy also showed my bowel adhered to my uterus which was repaired. From the first consultation through to the post operative visit I found Dr Chan to be very professional and informative, answering any questions I had putting me at ease. A few short months later I was very surprised to find out I was pregnant and Dr Chan is now my obstetrician, guiding me through my current pregnancy.

I saw Dr. Chan for a laparoscopy for Endometriosis. I was also having pain from a previous appendectomy and he said he would request another surgeon to come in and see if everything had healed properly. Two weeks after the surgery I went to see him in his offices for a follow up appointment where I found out that he had forgotten to get another surgeon in even though it was in my notes. He also didn't seem to really care that they had found endometriosis and was not giving me any advice on how to deal with it and how to properly recover from the surgery. My first consultation with him he seemed interested but then after the last consultation I felt very alone and almost ignored. I feel very disheartened as I still get a lot of pain and may have to wait another year to go and get another laparoscopy just to check the area from my appendectomy which should have been sorted already. I will also have to go see another gynecologist just to go through my full report from the surgery (which he didn't give me or the images) to see if he fully investigated the effects of my endometriosis (as it looks like he only investigated the left side). I ended up having to go back into the hospital while I was still recovering just to get my report. I have no doubt he is a great obstetrician but in regards to endometriosis issues I would ensure you find a different gynecologist.

Norman Chan is an excellent obstetrician. I have my first child delivered by Norman. He has provided lot of professional consultations within the entire pregnancy journey. Moreover, he has a very great attitude. Each consultation is such a great experience. In addition, he has done a great job for my wife's caesarean section. The stitching is excellent, and my wife doesn't feel any pain on the unstitching. I strongly recommended Norman your next obstetrician

I saw Dr Chan as my gynaecologist and he was so good that I went on to have him deliver my 3 children and again he was terrific. My last baby not long ago!
