Went to Dr Akbiyik for an opinion on a complicated tooth removal. He was very charming and listened to all my concerns. I found him to be very patient and very understanding and very accommodating. Definitely recommend.

I only consulted with Dr. Kemal due to a procedure gone horribly wrong through another surgeon (whom I won't name) but I felt obligated to leave a review. He spent a long time with me during our initial consult and listened intently while I voiced all of my concerns and suggestions as to how I wished to move forward. He didn't speak over me and was very open minded and objective through out the entire ordeal. When I walked out of there it felt like the world had been lifted from my shoulders having finally found someone who wasn't just another salesmen surgeon trying to sell me something or give ultimatums. I can tell you this man legitimately cares about the outcome and welfare of his patients and I would undoubtedly trust his hands. His receptionist (Who I forget the name of) is also super friendly and helpful. Always a pleasure to speak with her.
I would like to say that it pays to always seek other opinions. I took my 15 year old daughter to Brisbane Maxillofacial Surgery after lack of interest or assessment from Dr Ian Young who was another Maxillofacial private specialist in Caloundra. After a 7 year battle of Jaw pain following a jumping castle accident, from going down the slide and getting her arm caught in the net as her body kept going, snapping her humerous resulting in surgery. Fighting endless battles and roads I decided to opt to pay to go see a 2 private specialist one in Caloundra the other here in Milton. I was appalled by the lack of interest on his part, in what we had to say, and poor effort in examining my daughters Jaw. Instead he looked at her MRI and like the other Surgeon said that there was nothing wrong with the MRI and that we should seek a neurologist opinion, look at chronic pain management with possible psychiatrist input with no referral or actual direction offered yet was happy to take my money. I finally got an appointment with South Brisbane Children's hospital only to find that my daughter had pain in "The Yoint" with a fluid build up. Her disc was also slipping causing her jaw to dislocate. Finally we are on the road to a scope to drain the fluid as well as scar tissue to prevent the disc from slipping followed by botox and steriods for her ongoing muscle tension and headaches. If this is unsuccessful then we will be going down the line of surgery. It makes me sick to think that if I decided to listen to both these private specialist, we would be still leading down the wrong road with wasted time, and money while my daughter continues to suffer. Doctors need to shape up and actually listen to the parents and the children.
Went in to get an orbital floor reconstruction and could not of asked for better results. Extremeley professional. Great bedside manner. Next to no scarring and minimal pain.
I was very pleased with the excellent care that I received by Dr Kemal Akbiyik, who surgically extracted all four wisdom teeth. The procedure was done very quickly and I felt minimal discomfort (no pain). His advice before and after the procedure was thorough and helpful. I took paracetamol and ibuprofen for just two days and was almost pain-free afterwards. I highly recommend Dr Akbiyik for his excellent professionalism and competency.
Professional service and nice atmosphere. Kemal is a very good surgeon. I had my 2-6 molar / back tooth removed after a root canal treatment caused complications. Kemal gave good advice and performed the procedure quickly and as painfree as possible. I took pain killers for only one day and was pretty much pain free after 48 hours. Highly recommended.
