Still my go-to store for camera gear even though it's only online now. Bought my first DSLR here in 2020 and received terrific service from Don. Very happy with the kit he put together for me. Also bought binoculars here in Jan 2021 for watching live sports and they were great value.

Customer service when purchasing camera was good, but after purchase customer service had a lot to be desired... I purchased an EOS RP and RF to EF adaptor. The RF to EF adaptor had a noticeable scratch on the paint when it first came out of the box. I took a photo as proof. I returned to the store the following day and told one of the staff about my issue and requested a replacement His response to me was "I can't see it" , "I'm pretty sure its part of the design". I then asked him to show me the display unit to compare and by then it was quite indisputable that it was not supposed to be part of the design. He then tried to weasel out of providing me a replacement by asking "does this scratch affect the usability of the adaptor in any way" and quite obviously it doesn't. However, when you buy something new, you expect the product to be in new condition. His attitude was completely appalling. Ultimately I had to wait 30minutes for the guy who sold it to me in the first place to provide a replacement as the other person didn't want to deal with the problem... I was planning on going back to buy an RF 28-70mm F2 but after that experience I decided to buy it at digidirect (they have better prices their too)

Had a 1/1 session with Chris on photography basics and thoroughly enjoyed the session. Little bits of info here and there really helped. Chris was professional throughout the booking process, during and after the session. Now just to put it into use. Thanks

For me, Michaels camera-digital-video is the best store for everything photographic. On previous visits to Melbourne I have found their service could not be beaten and since the pandemic when in-store shopping was not possible, their on-line service was right up to the mark, Nothing was too much trouble. Their consultant Grant Pettit was most attentive. I can highly recommend them. Michael Walsh, Hobart.

The employee in this family business is extremely friendly and passionate. The building is 103 years old and the family is getting the 5th generation now. By seeing this museum, I can experience the flow of time and the zeitgeist of technology era. Our society develops so fast that the gap between the post world war 2 camera and the modern camera is like the gap between two civilization from different universes

The staff here are great - very knowledgeable and thorough on a range of products from digital to film cameras. Andreas in particular has been very helpful to me on multiple occasions.
