Hope4Cure (www.hope4cure.org.au) builds awareness, support and fundraising for ovarian & gynaecological cancer in the Hunter region. Ovarian cancer is hard to detect and it's estimated that 1480 Australian women will be diagnosed this year and 1040 women will die of the disease. The chances of surviving more than 5 years with ovarian cancer is just 45%. More women need to be diagnosed in the early stage of ovarian cancer when treatment has a much higher success rate. With early detection difficult it is important that all women are aware of the symptoms of ovarian cancer. Our purpose is to support those suffering with ovarian and gynaecological cancers. We do this by build fundraising initiatives and awareness and giving financial assistance. We act as a symbol of hope to those living with cancer. Our goal is to provide much needed financial assistance and support to individual families and health services across Newcastle and the Hunter Region.
