Gary was amazing. I had never arranged a funeral before but, within 4 days of contacting Gary at Russell Brothers (on a public holiday in March 2020), we had the most perfect funeral for my big brother Paul who died unexpectedly at the young age of 63. It was all arranged by phone and email because I live in Sydney but it couldn't have been better or easier or better value. Total cost was less than 7000 for everything including a beautiful service at Bunurong, lovely flowers (huge!), our chosen music, a slide show of Paul's life, video recording of the service (with a copy provided on a USB memory stick), a printed order of service and more. Gary made it perfect in every way. Highly recommended.
We would like to thank Gary for everything he did to make our Mum's day so special. His constant friendly and relaxed communication kept us informed and comfortable, and he created a warm and appropriate connection with us all. Can I recommend Russell Brothers to anyone requiring a funeral. Geoff and his team were outstanding. From our initial meeting to the subsequent service we received support, understanding and ongoing communication. Their pricing is well below the better known publicly listed companies who we avoided after a previous funeral. Better to go with a smaller family business where you receive a better service at a cheaper price.
I could not recommend these people more highly, after the death of my son they were so helpful and kind, and couldn't help me enough through something no parent ever wants to do. I would never use anyone else.
Great caring service, they will provide service that is appropriate for your family and your loved one, there is no 'up-selling'. Such a good experience that I would not consider using anyone else.
Yesterday we held the funeral for my father-in-law. We engaged Russell Brothers to attend to the arrangements, and to make the day a special day of reflection. Gary, Jeff, Holly and the entire team were compassionate, and very easy to deal with. They took the time to get to know who my father-in-law was as a man and offered suggestions on how we could make sure we honoured his memory in every way possible. They also recommended a celebrant to speak on behalf of the family, and again they did not disappoint. Andy Kinnersley spent several hours getting to know who my father-in-law was, and presented his life in such a perfect way, and in perfect detail. I cannot recommend highly enough this wonderfully compassionate company.
