In Australia, the YMCA is made up of 18 Member Associations supporting over 500 communities, all united by our belief in the power of inspired young people. We have over 12,000 staff across the country and around 4,000 volunteers. Each year we record over 30 million participations in our programs and services ! The majority are in the healthy living space – with 20 million participations in our health clubs and 4.3 M swimming lessons a year! Just over 1 million participations are recorded in our youth specific programs and another 1 million in our camping programs. And we have almost 3 million participations in our children's services including kindergartens, early learning centres, outside school hours care and vacation care.
