The Swiss Club of Victoria can look back over a century of proud tradition since its foundation in 1899. The club was established as a social club and to be the place for Swiss migrants to meet, to maintain a link with their country of origin and to foster and preserve the cultural and linguistic inheritance of Switzerland. These aims are just as valid now as they were a hundred years ago. The club is still a favourite meeting place for Swiss and friends of Switzerland alike. Guests and visitors are always welcome! The club house is ideally situated in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. The club restaurant on the first floor is open Mon-Fri for lunch and Tue-Fri for dinner with Wed & Thur evening club nights for members, their guests and visitors to enjoy traditional Swiss food and hospitality in a unique setting. The Second Floor is where the interest groups meet. This modern and bright facility is also available for rent for private and corporate functions. The Swiss Club is based on membership, which is open to all nationalities. Membership not only entitles to benefits such as reduced restaurant prices and access to club facilities and functions at membership rates, but it is a wonderful way of meeting people, networking and making friends. Members of the committee will be happy to answer any questions.

as always, food at swiss club does not disappoint. we had scallops with rice, chicken snitzel, kartofflen salad, bratwurst, garden salad, which was all very yummy. but service was a bit lax, not up to par as usual.

Very pleasant group meal. Good choices and food is fresh and well prepared staff are friendly and helpful. Complimentary pot of beer on Thursdays.

The food at the Swiss Club is generally good but I have to say that today it was a disappointment. I ordered pan fried flathead fillets with lemon butter and chips. The fish was great but the chips were lousy. First it was a ridiculously small serve and given that potatoes are so cheap, it's hard to understand why they were so stingy. Second they were over cooked. I complained and got an additional bowl of chips but, as you can see in the photos, even the second serving was a mingy serve. I wasn't full at all so I had to attack the salad bar. The side salad became a major one. On a plus the ambiance of the Swiss club is always good and the serving staff was very friendly and provided good service.

Non members are welcome here. Food is traditional Swiss/German of course but with other offerings as well. Service is friendly and all our food was terrific.

Authentic Swiss dining experience. You wouldn't pick you were in the middle of Melbourne CBD. Comparable to dining in a chalet in Gruyere. Excellent customer service, tasty food and good portion sizes. If you want Swiss (or just general comfort) food this is an excellent option in the CBD especially for families. If you're looking for a trendy, innovative, chic or romantic dinner, obviously there are better options all around Flinders Lane. Goes without saying, we had the cheese fondue. Nice experience but always way too much cheese most can handle. Weiner schnitzel with spatzli very satisfying and the Riz Casimir was a pleasant surprise of fruity flair!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch. Everything was very nice. The staff were friendly and attentive. The chef came out to say hello. Wonderful to have in Melbourne. In fact we go back there tomorrow.

Cheese fondue. Never fails to satisfy. Old fashioned club diner. Could do with lowering the thermostat a tad
