This is by far and away the best pawnbrokers in Melbourne, and I should know, I have tried them all! Treasures Of Prahran has very low interest and friendly and helpful staff. There have even been time when I haven't had the money to make interest payments on the day, and because I called in advance to notify them they were helpful with a small time extension. They have helped me out many times and I am very grateful, they definitely get 5 stars from me.

Lied to my face about the cost of my item, which was brand new still in the box. Treated me like I was a liability and even though I have been pawning stuff for years, gave me the worst service ever. Made it known he wasn't keen to loan me the small amount he offered and to add to the insult of injury spoke in his own language to his colleague, obviously about my item and me, for he was holding the item, and I was the only, if you could call it that, customer in the shop. And it is the height of rudeness at the best of times to speak in one's native tongue, full well knowing the person of whom they were discussing, has no idea what was said. There is a slogan around today that has 2 words, support local. This guy gets a third and a fourth, DON'T SUPPORT THIS LOCAL

The Asian dude at the shop told me he can't buy my watch because he never heard of the shop that it was originally purchased from.... mazzucchelli's that is hahahahaha
To be honest, the staff were helpful and accomodating. As a buyer the prices were brilliant, thanks for the dewalt battery. Only accept cash BUT i did get a proper RECEIPT without even asking for one. Cheers
Overpriced items and not even good quality, rude and only except cash!! It is now illegal to own a shop in 2020 and say we only except cash!! Learn some customer service skills guys honestly this is not good enough..
Extremely poor salesmanship and quality of service. Was interested in a Ibanez Jem guitar. Was talking via email and calls to the store, was quoted the wrong price initially and the reason behind it was the staff member did not know. It was a 50 difference then what they wanted eventually I matched what they wanted. Requested additional pictures of the guitar, never received them. Found the serial number of the guitar on gumtree which they posted aswell and ran the serial number via serial decoder, Ibanez serial decoder said it never manufactured this guitar. That’s not it, upon calling the store when I asked about there insurance policy which was mentioned to be via email previously, the salesperson said he would not want to sell the guitar to me. Amazing! I have been in customer service for 18 years and a musician for life and never experienced this level of service before. Highly discourage this store and even if you want to purchase from them, please triple check the authenticity of the product. Absolute disgrace !
