OzOro believes that folk dance is a way of life and though we live in a high-tech culture, still we can enjoy tradition with spirit and passion. OzOro provides cultural promotion: dance demonstrations, workshops and tuitions, also a voluntary support for the Australian Balkan music and dance community. The name OzOro comes from two words. Australia is informally referred to as Oz, but 'Oz' is also used to refer to as the magical Land of Oz where miracles can and do happen – and the fact is that dancing to Balkan rhythms really can give people a marvelous-miraculous experience! The Macedonian word 'oro' refers just like 'horo' / 'hora' / 'choros' / '(k)horon' in various Balkan languages to circle folk dances in the Balkans.
