I have been living in Blessington st, through Housing First for going on 3 years! I don’t have a single negative word to speak, regarding how they manage the properties, treat their tenants or conduct themselves! I’ve only ever had a couple of minor issues that they resolved promptly & have kept me completely up to date on! They go over & beyond to help everyone, from courses & all different, art & learning programs, offer affordable fresh fruit & vegies, pantry top up options & even eggs!!! I can’t believe some of these reviews!!! U are obviously self entitled & to be honest, a drain on society! U have definitely forgotten how hard it is to secure, good, permanent accommodation & how horrible so many properties can be, I for one value & appreciate everything that Housing First has offered & helped me with, I have only ever been treated with complete respect & dignity & I can honestly say, I never, ever want to move or have to deal with any other realestate or property manager again! Housing First is a nothing but a blessing!!!

I would like to say how grateful I am to the 2 young men from Greenworx who were so obliging when I ask if it was possible to cut down some overhanging branches that was obstructing the entrance to our property. They promptly did the job and cleaned the area so I didn't have to do a thing. I am so impressed with the job they are doing in our area. Please pass this on to the appropriate people involved, they are doing a marvellous job. Regards Vicki

Couldn't be happier in my flat. I guess it depends on the community. My building has great tenants and there are no complaints about housingg first

They are excellent. Some of the reviews on here are reviews whinging about things that are not within the purview of a housing provider. They provide housing and they fix things relatively promptly. I think they provide an excellent service and I think they do very well. I think that some people expect them to do more than provide a home. Way more. They aren't a hospital, they aren't carers or mental health case workers, or the police, they can't fix all of the problems in our society. They have to deal with many people with 'issues' and they have to fix many short term accommodation properties that are constantly being wrecked by people who don't treat the property well. They have a population of people who do nothing but fight with everyone around them and whinge about their lives because they are unhappy. But I can tell you, it isn't the housing people's fault. Their lives would be 100 times worse without their housing. That's for sure. Housing First provide affordable housing and they maintain them and if it weren't for them, I would be in a terrible position. I owe them everything good in my life and I am so grateful to them. Thank you Housing First. They offer a home so that people can sort themselves out. Get their self together without having to worry about being homeless. People should have some gratitude for how lucky they are. I mean, try living in a community and dealing with your neighbours yourself. Try BEHAVING like a good neighbour and maybe you will find that others do the same. All my neighbours are great.

WOW! Some complaints there. Well, I've given up. I've been waiting over 2yrs to have my kitchen painted. I've been without an oven for months. My kitchen floor has holes everywhere that I've had to cover up with duck tape. There is cracking in my kitchen bench. One of my blinds is falling apart. I can't get the bathroom tiles clean. The drain in my shower is in the wrong place and there is nothing to stop watergoes out almost to the toilet. The list goes on Then there is a neighbour who has a collection of bikes, one stolen, that makes the place look disgusting. This person also moves all the leaves and rubbish out the front of my place. Someone keeps turning off my water. The person above me has plants without trays underneath them so, a heap of water comes down over my balcony, furniture and bbq. They also have a relative living there which is not allowed. I have to put up with the noise they make. I need a carer but one bedroom doesn't work. I am not well surviving a car accident, 3yrs of fighting cancer, the pain in my spine etc is just insane. So along with my injuries, I also have PTSD, so hide away in my oh so small flat too small for me. This also affects me as I can't get a live in carer. I HAVE offered to pay for a new stove, kitchen flooring etc etc etc but keep getting told I don't have to and that Housing First will pay for it........ Oh really?? WHEN?? Like I said I am over it. So over it. I'm not going to chase them up any longer, I'm going to our local politician and ACA before I get too sick or end it all. THIS IS NO WAY TO LIVE.

Kept being offered Properties that are very unsuitable for myself and my daughter. So upset considering I was really looking forward to getting a good stable housing for us so that we are able to move away from the unsuitable place we are living in at the moment
