Came here last week for Friday's lunch. Great little eatery on Queen St. Had their rice drop noodles with soft shell crab, quail eggs, prawns & fish cakes. Delish, love it! Great flavour, definitely worth a try.

I ordered the soft shell crab noodle recommended by one of the girl who works there. The food was so so. My friend’s food was so so as well. Haven’t been back ever since

Staff are super friendly and welcoming into this amazing modern ambience. They released a new menu since their first was a hit. Some were a hit and miss, with the fusion of flavours were a bit confusing for the miso carbonara and potato gems with asian sauce. I definitely loved their ceviche and raw salmon tacos, and would love for them to re-open and bring it back. Their caramel ribs are always a hit and I will always remember them for their well-seasoned smokey Asian-flavoured ribs. Their mac and cheese were pretty good, full of texture and creaminess, but were a bit on the salty side. Their mee goreng with crispy chicken was a delight to eat, but flavours were a bit confusing, since there was a lot of rich salty flavours clashing. All in all, I always love how creative they get and it shines through their food. We miss you, Homi.

SIMPLE SE ASIAN-THEMED FOOD IN SQUISHY BENCH SEATING Went to Homi as a group of four on a Saturday evening. My first impression was that it's more a bar with bench tables and stools than a traditional restaurant. One arrival we were warned that we had a time limit of two hours .. which turned out not to be a problem as both the limited menu and the uncomfortable stool seating had us out in just over an hour. The food is OK with a mix of dry and wet noodle dishes. There are a few entrees to choose. We had potato "tots" (nice), chili cauliflower (nice but a bit heavy handed with the chili) and a fish creviche (not bad). It was a cold night and there are only cocktails and softdrink on the drinks menu. My enquiry as to whether they served chinese tea was met with a curt "we aren't a Chinese restaurant!" The service throughout was fairly off-hand. Its probably an OK place to go if you are after a cocktail or two with friends and the food is more an aside rather than the feature. It's not especially noisy given the close proximity of tables. People with mobility issues will find it quite challenging as you need to push the stools aside to get out from the bench tables and the tables are quite high with tall stools rather than chairs.

I've been walking past this place for the better part of 6 months, and I finally found a chance to wander in. I was not disappointed. Cool vibe, cool wait staff, and delicious Noodles. Really can't ask for more than that. Will be back to try out more of the menu!

This place is a great little trendy and lively addition to a dull Queen Street! Spoke to our server who guided us with our ordering whilst giving us recommendations which is always a big win in my books. Had the roast chicken dry noodles and it was delicious! Paired it with a Milo shake and ... Bliss! The lamb ribs had amazing flavour to it however it was thick amounts of fat and I did give our server that feedback on paying for our meal. My friend also enjoyed her bao! Atmosphere was pumping with ol’ skool hits and purple neon lights. Got there at 7.30PM which would be peak hour dinner time and turnover was pretty quick. Heads up, finding a park would be a nightmare as it’s right in the CBD and prepare to pay for it too. Overall, it was a good experience and would check this place out again.

Didn't have a booking, but was walking past with some friends and I convinced them to have a second dinner with me here. Staff were lovely enough to accomadate us the best they could. Food came out quick and was great. Enjoyed the dry chicken noodles, but the highlight was the pho Bao, which actually tasted like pho. And the ferrero Bao. Man oh man, that was a great combo of flavors. And the price point was pretty cheap for city food. Cannot wait to come back and try out some of the other items on the menu.
