The atmosphere and vibe was great, the perfect lighting and table set-up. The food was really nice (some dishes on the salty side) and portions were very reasonable. The staff were nice and polite but not very attentive. The kitchen was also be a bit too slow. Overall a nice experience, but you should allow an extra hour or so for the experience.

A most pleasant evening. Loved the vibe and great service. The food was full of flavor and very well balanced. Our favourite had to be the stracciatella with oyster mushroom, the preserved chicken came closely second. Will definitely return to see what other delicious creations pops up onto the menu!
2.55 pm on a Saturday- it’s packed, but Georgie remembers our phone call from the morning (I missed the booking window) and gets me the last seat in the place. And she tells me immediately that the kitchen’s about to close for hot food so I get my order for Pippies in straight away. Wow! They are the delicious. I was told that this place rocks and it sure does. You have to book. Waiters: Georgia and Harry- great staff- really competent and personable. Great looking open kitchen. Wine, sparkling water, bread, main, dessert, coffee- 38 minutes. Done!
Embla is a cozy and intimate place to kick back and enjoy a very well priced meal. In particular, there are great pescatarian options for fish, nuts and seafood lovers. The choco misu was a nice dessert to round things off. Lovely & friendly staff as well.
Lovely wine bar. Excellent staff, great wines by the glass, varied regularly. Really tasty snacks (sour cucumbers is my favourite). And a great soundtrack playing in the background. Just go...
One of my favourites in Melbourne. Great selection of wines by the glass. Hapuka, is a must try dish, simply delicious. I will definitely come back, fully recomendable.
I've visited twice now post-iso, and relieved to report that the food is still clever and satisfying. There is something for everyone in the wine list and service is gracious and helpful. So pleased to see embla survive and thrive.
I went there for a bday celebration and was seated upstairs. The service was excellent. The ambience and decor felt like we were the only table there even though it was full house. The wine selection was very extensive and every dish was actually delicious. The highlight would be their steak, tender and juicy and so very tasty. Would definitely go back!
