Delmore Gallery Reviews | Rating 3 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Delmore Gallery is rated 3 out of 5 in the category fine art. Read and write reviews about Delmore Gallery. Established in 1989 by Donald and Janet Holt, Delmore Gallery is situated 250km northeast of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, Australia. The Holt’s property, Delmore Downs Station, lies close to Utopia, a cattle station which has been under the management of traditional Aboriginal owners since the mid 1970s. Delmore Gallery now represents a distinguished and talented list of emerging and acclaimed artists from Utopia. In an industry blighted by lesser imitations, the 'Delmore' name on the back of an ‘Emily’ canvas is recognised as one of the best provenances. This is emphasised by the Holt's relationship with major auction houses and the State and National Galleries of Australia. Delmore Gallery has successfully supported the artistic practices of many famous Aboriginal artists including Emily Kame Kngwarreye, Gloria Petyarre, Kathleen Petyarre, Kathleen Ngale, Angeline Ngale, Polly Ngale, Dave Ross, Greenie Purvis, Lindsay Bird, Louie Pwerle and Cowboy Louie Pwerle.
