I've been incredibly fortunate, as a designer in my senior years, to have met the team at Creative Recruiters and even more so to be placed with one of their clients, considering what tense times we are in right now and especially when unemployment is rife. The team took the effort to acquaint themselves with my strengths and the generosity to recommend me to their clients in a way that most other agencies wouldn't care or bother. Their attention to their clients also shows when they check in with me on a weekly basis about how things are going on. For someone who's been in this industry for some decades, I can certainly say the bar is set very high. Thank you Creative Recruiters!

I only have great things to say about my experience with Creative Recruiters — the team truly knows their industry inside & out, they really care about their candidates by getting to know you on a much more in-depth level than I'd experienced with other recruiters, finding out what sort of roles would truly satisfy you; there's a genuineness that they want to help you get the best you deserve. Most importantly of all, they delivered by being the first to place me in a great role. But their excellence didn't even end there as post-placement they were still checking in to catch up and check how I'm going. On top of all this, they're highly organised with good systems and are just all-round lovely humans. Thank you for being a step above the rest!

Every week they held informative and relevant webinars on subjects that contributed to our development in becoming more valuable to prospective employers. We were literally connected once a week and encouraged to use the time to be ready for when everything 'gets back'. While I've met quite a few recruiters in Melbourne, none provided the level of service that Vanessa at Creative Recruiters has. She has a high level of integrity and took the time to get to know me and what I wanted out of my career. When she presented me with opportunities, they were exactly the sort of roles I was after. She was always honest and offered valuable advice every step of the way. In addition, she took the time to keep in touch and updated me of my progress and was my very strongest advocate! I found the service from Creative Recruiters poor in relation to my experience with other recruitment agencies, both in and outside Australia. Having signed a contract three weeks before I was due to arrive in Melbourne, taken part in a 45 minute Skype interview and sent over a portfolio with work from award-winning agencies, I only heard from Creative Recruiters three times over the course of my year's contract with them, and twice was the result of me chasing. Despite them giving me firm assurances they would have booked me work by the time I arrived in the city, it turned out that nobody had even sent my portfolio out for the first three weeks I was on their books. I had initially found their confidence unusual since, in my experience, recruiters don't usually give such guarantees, but assumed they knew their market and went along with it. When the oversight was identified (by me), they offered a summary apology, only for my new contact there to contradict everything they had previously agreed with me at my interview regarding my skill level and rate. After hearing almost nothing from them for the next six weeks, I found my own work, and then later signed up with another recruiter in the city who was able to link me up with a well paid freelance position quickly and efficiently, and stayed in regular contact. I was understanding and patient throughout my time with Creative Recruiters but, besides their failure to secure me any work at all during my contract, I personally found the level of communication somewhat abrupt, brief and, as mentioned previously, on one occasion, rather rude. I normally only give good reviews to companies. However, having since learnt from other designers in the freelance community that they have had similar experiences, I felt that I should speak out as, had I know in advance, I would have chosen to work with a different recruiter from the beginning.
What a fantastic team at Creative Recruiters! I have never dealt with the CR recruitment agency before but my first contact was with Vanessa Dolan which resulted in a permanent role placement very quickly. She has shown tremendous professionalism, support, guidance and understanding. I highly recommend and endorse Vanessa.
