The store and the shop is great and these guys have sometimes taken a fiver off any goods that I've bought from them which I thank them so much for! But to me it goes a little bit deeper as I used to go to the original store that was right next to the neighboring Village Road cinemas back in the late 1980's! Back then I bought some TMNT Eastman & Laird hardback cover novels so it hits deep over 32 years ago! The current store in my eyes should be better like the old original store which was very conveniently placed (go see a film before/after then visit the original Comics R' Us store right next to Village Roadshow cinemas!!) as it can be now abit hard to find via it's hidden staircase which might be hard for some folk to go up?! Also opening hours can be erratic at best as well but I don't blame the staff as the rates/rent are probably through the roof nowadays. This is so unfair as the current staff and the history of the store deserve so much better now days or maybe it's true that the comic scene might be dying out now in 2020 unlike 1990?! If that is true, I want thank this current store for everything they have done for me the last decade but also in their heyday of 1988 when this place was truly alive back then unlike it's tiredness now but it must be a changing demographics...32 years should've been more kind to Comics R' Us nowadays I say sigh......
Fantastic comic book shop with amazing display of old boxed and unboxed figures. They all seemed to be for sale. Could spend an hour or more looking through everything.
