Decor is on the tacky side but dishes have a fantastic blend of flavour and texture. If your spice tolerance is high, you’ll be fine. Highly recommend the stir fried lamb. Service is also commendable so an enjoyable experience overall.

This will be my first review and last trip to this restaurant. Although there are many words I can use to describe Charming Spice, I'm going to say this: Charming Spice is horrible. *not even worth 1 star for the 2 hours delay food and poor customer service. Even KFC does a better job, applaud.
The worst restaurant I have ever been in my life , avoid it at all costs! Its absolutely unacceptable me and my friends (11 of us) waited two and half hours for three dishes! Two of those actually came out when we were about to leave! The fish and scallop looked undercooked so we didn’t even touch those and we were kind of being forced to pay. We talked to the owner and waitress multiple times we understood they are busy on lunar new year and we were very patient. But their attitudes were not even apologetic and kept coming up with excuses, one young girl was quite nice and kept apologizing to me but things were not in her control. We were very disappointed with this restaurant but we didn’t want any argument or cause a scene. In the end we just left and cancelled the rest of the order.
Amazing food and service, highly recommended Sichuan food in Melbourne CBD
Poor customer service, overpriced and long delays even though it wasn't even close to full. Waited over an hour and they hadn't even started cooking our order. Saw some other customers starting to leave as well due to this and they even got there before us. Ended up just paying for the drinks we got and went somewhere else. What was also very dissappointing was they said it was coming soon around 30 minutes after ordering then another 30 minutes went by and still nothing. We went there for chinese new years dinner too and booked ahead just in case it was busy. Extremely dissatisfied
I never write restaurant reviews but charming spice is one restaurant that i reccomend to people. order their: qong qing chicken Pickled fish Xo sauce clams Minced beef green beans Those are my favs And ull get ur tummy satisfied...
