Once an old bank vault, the door has been cracked open and converted into a magical, subterranean space full of atmosphere. Rustic lamps, red brick walls embellished with black and white photography, dripping candles and corner nooks whisk you away from reality. More than just a drinking spot, it's also hugely popular for some of the best food around Melbourne. Great service staff here know what to do thanks for another great night

Lovely bar, staff and cocktails. We went for the first time as it was part of the Melbourne cocktail festival bar safari. The bar staff were lovely. The festival cocktail was yummy and it's such a great space especially if you manage to grab one of the booths. We will be back!
This place is the bomb truly love it here: However it also has so many positive reviews yet no thanks from the establishment to the users who take the time and effort to review which generates repeat business for you, how does that work? A little bit goes a long way boyz...Odd that you responded to someone whom gave you 4 stars and not 5 and not all the others----poor form I could be a bar mystery shopper and this counts towards ratings lads
Really wasn't expecting a bar underneath Driver Lane but it's Melbourne so there ya go! Always excellent friendly service everytime we go, and the selection of cocktails is superb. As an added bonus there's jazz nights on Fridays and Saturdays too for a measly 5 cover fee. A great place to just chill out with friends or for dates. The terrine and fried chicken are also absolutely delectable!
Great spot, friendly, tasty, great music and fantastic bevi's could spend lot of time here. Live blues band is a bonus and brings the place to life. Could be a little more selective of who they let in
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. A world class atmosphere with a seemingly endless selection of bottles behind the bar. Great value to try out 3 Australian whiskeys for 36. Highly recommend for a travelling whiskey lover!
Loved this place. The look and feel is 30’s speakeasy-jazz club with candles everywhere, old parquet dance floor and blues playing nonstop. Drinks were really good, and you could tell the bartenders care about their craft. Highly recommend!
In the basement at the end of an alley, this feels equal parts Melbourne and Diagon Alley. The peeps behind the bar are all practised professionals, personable, knowledgeable and looking so mint in black chef coats. What they mix up is pretty sharp. Trust them to entice you with a gasm for the senses. A pure vision of rustic Victorian style with brick arched booths, walls cluttered with black and white photos, with warm light from candles and low-hanging lamps feels like a comfortable den. Brilliant service as always thanks for a great nite and special thanks to D for the awesome suggestions and service
