Our main fridge died just after Easter and parts are a two week wait. Decided to purchase a new second fridge to get us out of trouble. Called into McMahons at Atherton and was greeted by a sales assistant "How can I help you?", responded that we were looking for a cheaper second fridge, reply was that we don't sell second hand fridges and the fiasco started there. Looked at two new fridges and decided on the second which was dearer than the first. Sales assistant discounted the first but said that the price in the second was fixed. Sales assistant processed the paper work and I noted that the price was incorrect. Sales assistant had processed the incorrect fridge. Said that she would then charge the difference. Said that we wanted a clean invoice showing the correct amount so she credited the first and recharged the second. We needed delivery that day as our situation was urgent but best we could do was delivery the next day. Got home and checked McMahons web site and the fridge that we had just bought was advertised 98 cheaper than what we had paid. Immediately rang the store and after considerable discussion was offered the price reduction. Then checked my bank details and found that McMahons had credited us 10 less than the original incorrect charge. Lost all confidence in McMahons at this stage but again rang them to get this refunded. Surely this was the end of their total ineptitude but no. Waiting all day the next day for our urgent delivery and three phone calls later finally had a DAMAGED fridge delivered to us just after 4pm. Queried the delivery driver and he responded that had he been advised that our delivery was urgent would have made it the first one of the day. We are about 9 minutes from McMahons. This has been the worst store that we have ever dealt with. The fiasco from beginning to end was a total disaster.

My warranty issue was handled with efficiency, courtesy, and professionalism by John and my replacement product was delivered to my home the same day.

My experience at Atherton Better Home Living was excellent. The young bloke there serving I think his name was Samuel was very good and had good knowledge on the products I bought. Definitely recommend this place.
