I only have one thing to say about Masters. The staff are so friendly all the time, and i find it a better experience on that level than Bunnings next door. The toilets are at the front of the store, which is more accessible. The buzzers in each aisle to get staff coming to you if you need assistance is great - got sick of trying to walk around and attract staff's attention in Bunnings.

Masters' are a much better store. It doesn't matter what branch you go to, their staff are always ready to help. Any time I have shopped at a Bunnings store, the staff are put out when you ask them for assistance. So, this will mean I will be shopping at Mitre 10 when Masters close their doors for the last time.

Love the new Masters Home Improvement store in Lismore. The staff were really friendly and helpful when I visited on the opening weekend, they have a huge range, and the store and displays are all set out really nicely.

Not very impressed. I went there on Monday 27th July 2015. First we went to the garden section and saw a nice rose that had been marked down to 20.00. When we went to pay for it, the woman at the checkout said that she thought the price was wrong, and took it over and spoke to someone else. When she came back, she said the rose was 25.00 and that it had been wrongly marked and proceeded to charge us 25.00 for the rose. I didn't make a fuss because we wanted that particular rose. Then we went to make the main purchase which was a washing machine. There was no salesperson in the Home Appliance Section, so we had a look ourselves then went into the next where there was an employee there. doing something on the computer, he saw us and kept on working away on the computer. I had to approach him and said that we were looking to buy a washing machine. He remained seated but politely told us where they were. After a bit of urging he got up and spoke to us. I asked if there was any other discounts he could apply, seniors card, pensioner discount, NRMA membership or anything and his reply was "There's already 50 off the regular price, and that's the best you can expect to get mate". I thanked him for his efforts and went into Retravision in Lismore and got a much better deal. Would I go back? Only for the Closing Down Sale. Would I recommend Masters to anyone? Only someone I didn't like.

I honestly don't know why people shop in Bunnings. In my experience: - the Masters layout is better, tidier and brighter - Bunnings Lismore constantly has pallets in aisles making movement from one end of store to another some sort of trench warfare - staff in Bunnings hide in the shelves - all you can see is whites of eyes peering out - Masters staff actively engage you to make sure you're ok : completely different demeanour Don't know why Masters is struggling financially, it's a MUCH better user and buying experience.
