Very pricey for what it is. The food looks amazing, very photographic and the restaurant has funky music and decor but that's all it is. I won't be rushing back. For 2 people we paid 120. There's other Indians around where you could pay 50 for a meal for two and have much much better food. This is just another instagram-able restaurant that draws you in for the pictures and charges you loads for basic food. If that's what you want, amazing, but if you're going for food and taste I'd look elsewhere.

Excellent service, gets quite busy. Food Is fantastic. A bit pricey but so worth it. Fantastic menu, with heaps of options including vegan and vegetarian menus.

The food was so delicious! My son had a wonderful time and liked that he could order special food and the chef would make it so he could eat it. Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything! you and your staff helped to make it that way! We will be back again! I’ll be sure to let you know in advance before we come again. Lovely place. A must visit place now in Surry Hills. Great food. The service is very slow and the staff needs to be reminded about the food. Probably due to slow service , we were offered a free complimentary entre as well. The place needs more active staff decided by sections to handle customer well. This way the staff will remember the order delayed and will be able to assist better.

Came back to Masala theory after COVID. Can’t stop talking about the food.. just brilliant.. the chicken biryani is the best I’ve had in Sydney. Great atmosphere, service and above all the food!! Will be back guys!!

We booked about a month ago before Valentine's Day for outdoor seat and when we show up to the restaurant the girl sat us at an indoor seat with 4 empty tables available outside. We request the date we booked but she still want to keep the table for other people :( that's alright.... Arms Length up the road had accommodating staff that have us an amazing Valentine's Day.
