Tomas at the front desk booked me in to see a staff member so I could hand in form, he said it was roughly an hour wait; perhaps more as their computer system was having problems. I told him that I would go and come back after half an hour which is exactly what happened. Upon my return, Tomas said I missed my appointment and that I may as well go as it was too late in the day. I am sick, I explained this. I just needed to hand a form in. I appreciate the hard work Centrelink do and the fact that deal with a large amount of clients but it should not be used as an excuse for such service and dismissive behaviour.
Rudeness is how they operate. Treating people inhumainly.. I went in there for a Medicare card , lady at the front desk asked me a series a questions with sass, then after 5 mins of asking me details she told me they don’t do Medicare there , why the hell are u asking me questions then
Went in on Monday, 20-5-19. Gave my details to the front desk. 3-minutes later was served by a lovely, courteous lady. She proceeded to complete what I needed to rectify with Centrelink. Extremely professional, efficient and caring. Best Centrelink experience ever.
Given the current corona situation, with everyone desperate for centrelink benefits, I was dreading coming here again. Turned out it was far less painful than I thought. The wait in line outside took a little over an hour, but once I was inside service was quick. The employees were understanding empathetic, really great at listening to and calming down customers' frustrations. The guy who helped me (Christopher I think, but I couldn't see his nametag clearly due to the 1.5m rule lol) was great, super friendly, and sorted out my problem way quicker than I expected. answered all my questions and knew what he was doing and was very reassuring overall. 4/5 would use services during pandemic related financial stress again.
went to the Marrickville office to trying to reí started my pensión after been overseas . It was a quite long quee. But by 8:50 am I was inside the office . Following the instructions about the distance between people . From the entrance the security gay was so good happy and welcoming. And then the lady who helping me said : hello how are you today ? She was asking about how was my back from overseas and my quarantine period . And then she sent me to wait and after they call me again . And in a very gently and good way she asked me how she was able to help and she solved the problem . She was a ( Manjeet) nice and very efficient lady I said thanks to Marrickville people office I was trying to do it at the phone for more than 10 days and I went to Leichhardt office and they treat me in the worts way .
I have just been to Centrelink today at Marrickville branch, no professionalism at all , the person on the counter has no manners to speak to female, he was very rude to me, his name was David, I was requesting him to ask something but he did not bother to listen and ask me to just take a seat in very rude manners.
I went expecting the worst, but after I passed go (the very Professional Gatekeeper says “Centrelink says “no”), the officer who dealt with my claim/application was so friendly, kind and helpful. I still can’t believe it!
