Very, very disappointed with this service. Was quite offput with the cold reception to begin with but was still willing to give them a go. Big mistake! I simply needed the neck seams taken in on a (quite expensive) jersey dress. A very basic alteration that I would otherwise be able to do myself as a home sewer but due to current responsibilities, did not have the time. The seams were stretched beyond recovery in the process, along with messy sewing and raw edges. And it wasn’t a cheap “alteration” either. When I first voiced my concerns, I was told “it was fine.” Then the excuse was given that they didn’t have factory machines like that would’ve been used for my dress. As a home sewer with a basic machine, I known that is a very poor and unacceptable excuse.

Very unhappy, dropped my dress off and paid over 90 for the alterations. They told me it would be ready by Tuesday (8 days) Went to pick it up on Tuesday and they hadn't even touched it and said I couldn't pick it up until 3pm! I had work so I had to leave it and told them I would be back tomorrow. Went back Wednesday and it still hadn't been touched!! They said to give them an hour, which turned into over an hour. When I finally got the dress they gave me 2 vouchers for some unneeded jean alterations, when i got home I noticed they weren't even valid because they had expired 3 months ago!!

Had some shorts taken up. I can fit a white board marker in the hem thats how puffed it is. The cotton used was not even the same colour as the shorts and stands out. Over priced and extremely disappointed. I wish i had of read the reviews first before going there.

The lady that did my measurements seemed to want to take advantage of their new customers. I was a first timer in need of just shortening my pants. I was not sure how much it would cost as I could not find the price online. When I arrived, there was a voucher on the counter in full view that it would be 15 for a simple shortening. However, when I asked about that, she was flustered and failed to explain how much it "normally" is. From this interaction, it seemed she did not want to give me the "discounted" price. Will not be going again.

I brought a suit jacket in Pre-Covid in March. Needed the sides let out a bit. When restrictions were made on businesses, I was never contacted about my order, and couldn't reach anyone to get a status update. Their voice mailbox was full and nobody answered the phone. In June I finally got in touch and was able to pick up the jacket. THEY SHORTENED THE SLEEVES!!! Not only did they do the WRONG alteration, they charged me for it, it took 3 months, and they ruined the jacket. They discarded buttons clipped from the sleeves, and didn't hem the liner so it's all bunchy inside. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST! I contacted corporate about the problem, with photos, and was told they would follow up. That was 6 weeks ago, with no response. THANKS FOR RUINING MY HUSBAND'S 800 SUIT.

Kathy at Looksmart Alterations Maroochydore Plaza is on another level. She went above and beyond for me. Not only did she get my suit jacket altered on the same day of purchase but she stayed behind after trading hours as I was running late to pick up my jacket. 11/10, what she did is more than just great customer service it was out of this world service haha.

So disgusted just went to Sunshine Plaza to pick up a dress I was having altered for tonight. Looksmart had it 7 days, not ready , not even started. Happy to take my 95 upfront. Woman at the counter couldn't care less.
