I booked a 4-night stay at the above-named accommodation in through Qantas as part of my flight as I knew I would be arriving early in the morning and would be tired after a 23-hour flight from London to Sydney. When I arrived in Sydney I went to the property as my agreed check in time was 12.00. When I arrived, the property was shut up. I called the number and was told that there was a "family problem" and that I would be unable to check in or arrive until 17.00 at the earliest. I stated that this was unreasonable as I was already there and only wished to leave some luggage until my room was ready later. I could see some people in the property but apparently they were unable to let me in. The person on the other end of the telephone was very aggressive and rude and treated me like I was a nuisance. When I put it them that the temperature was 40c and it was reasonable to be able to check in as per the agreed contract she said it was tough as the place was locked up. I said that they were breaching the terms of the contract and I would have to go elsewhere. The person then stated that if I cancelled, I would have to pay, so I said I am not cancelling I just want you to adhere to the terms of the contract and I want to drop off my suitcase and other stuff. She then asked me if 17.00 was a problem. As I was melting and needed to put my suitcase somewhere and use the bathroom, I said it was: “yes, it is a problem.” I finally had to book into alternative accommodation in nearby Dee Why as I did not want to risk waiting beyond 17:00hrs for somebody to let me into a room for which I had paid 380 for.

Good location In Manly. Staff very helpful but can be difficult to get hold of. Car parking shouldn't really be advertised. Space for two cars but they will block eachother in. Thin sheet and blanket so a little cold at night. Not the cleanest rooms either but nice showers. Good place if you're on a budget and not too picky.
This is a nice place to stay. It's cheap and has a homey feel to it that I absolutely love, and it's not really too far from anywhere. Overall it's pretty cute and amenities are all available including a shared kitchen. Downsides are the beds are really hard and the blankets are quite thin. The bathroom sink was clogged.
Bad. I couldn't tell whether the pool I was laying in was from tears or sweat
Good service, accommodation was ok.
We couldn’t contact the establishment following booking and paying for our stay. On our check in day we waited outside at the front door, actually left and returned, in the rain. We constantly called both contact numbers provided, with no response. A guest finally answered the door and couldn’t locate management. Eventually we were met by a rude staff member, and when we had been calling the accommodation all day, she bluntly suggested we seek reimbursement and left us essentially homeless.
Hostel, not hotel. Kitchen has no stove only hot plates. Fridge is full of people's old, smelly food. There is 1 fork. Some mattresses are all spring and no comfort. There is no AC and it can get hot in Manly! On the up side people are nice and it is quiet. The location is very good with delicious produce down the street and of course the beach 3 blocks away is a fantastic.
After waiting outside in the rain the receptionist let us in seeming very surprised and offended for some reason even though we had made a reservation. She did not tell us any information such as wifi, the code to get in and out of the building, how to return our keys considering she was asleep on the couch in the morning. Some older and very aggressive guests, can hear them yelling at each other through the night, particularly one old man who was livid to let us in at 7pm when we didnt have the code, banging on peoples doors and screaming the house down claiming they were being loud. Rooms are cold, sheet and thin blanket only provided (no doona). Gross and grumpy vibes.
