This restaurant is amazing - incredible service and delightfully tasty food. The owners were ridiculously accommodating. We turned up at the restaurant during ex-cyclone Oswald (long story), of course, the restaurant was closed but when the owners, Simone and Luke, spotted our family outside, they ushered us in quickly for some cover and protection. Simone then proceeded to cook lunch for our family (there were 8 of us). As there was no power, she had to cook with candle light over a gas stove. They were more than happy to go out of their way for us. A few other people turned up as well and they also took them in with open arms (Luke was hand-grinding and making the coffee manually for these people). Anyone who has ever worked in a restaurant/cafe would know how hard it'd be to work with no power. It's very hard to finding people that will go out of there way to this extent these days... They had no obligation to open the restaurant just for us. Thank-you so much! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Key Restaurant Maleny provided my guest and I with an excellent experience on our getaway. We enjoyed fantastic service and excellent food. We were graced by the chef(s) several times throughout the evening where we discussed the flavors of the meal and the optimal tasting experience. The staff were well trained, the chefs experience and passionate, and the prices were reasonable. This was a first time for us trying African style food, and we were impressed! 9/10
We has our wedding reception there and we very happy with the service and the food. We had canapes and ran a basic bar tab - there was plenty of food and drink for 70 guests. Service was excellent, food was delicious and the communication leading up to the night was great! Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. The log fire added such a warm, homely ambience, perfect for an autumn May wedding... thanks to Paul, Simone and Clem for making it a hassle free night that will wont forget (just want every bride needs).
Key Restaurant has fantastic food (and you'll get lots of it!). The staff knew their stuff and were very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be recommending this one to my friends. However, I was a little let down by the atmosphere, or lack thereof. They have such a great space but everything is very plain and downplayed. Some people may like that but to me it was a little detracting.
Excellent we received amazing meals followed by advice on what wine to enjoy with them. Great atmosphere and would definitely go again.
If you love hot curry, I recommend the goat curry sensational!
we love this restaurant for its variety of delicious spicy food. The goat curry is definitely for the chilli lovers. We often come for the friday buffet, which is great value, fresh and very tasty. The a-la-carte menu also has some really great dishes (I'm a big fan of the jerk chicken). The staff are very friendly and the patron will often come round to your table to check things are ok and to have a chat. The atmosphere is very relaxed. We've been here for early dinner with a young child and found it to be a pleasant non-stressful experience (everyone was well spread out across the large dining area).
