This is one of the best markets we have in North Queensland! There are a lot of stalls and you can feel the sense of community here. Everyone runs into someone they know and stall holders are friendly and fond of a chat. You will find locally farmed produce, lots of plants, handicrafts, coffee and food.
Malanda Markets are relatively small compared to others without the range of craft and products but this makes it easy to get around and not as crowded. Bitumen pathways make it easy for disability access. Would have rated 3 1/2 if it was available.
Friendly locals, great atmosphere.Loads of stalls, plenty of fruit and veges as well as great coffee, pastries, pizza, ice cream. Plenty of other supplies to stock up on for any traveller passing through. Support the locsls. One suggestion: local musicians could be encouraged to play
Fruit, vegetables, spices, wooden boards, etc, fun markets!
Not a lot of stalls. Nice vegetables and plants.
Small, friendly markets selling good quality produce.
A good size country markets, only 3/4 of the stalls trading today-- Covid-19 enforced regulations, will definetly like to return when everything is back to normal. Held at the Showgrounds, there is plenty of space and paved roads to walk between stalls, parking available around local streets. A good selection of stalls, fresh fruit, vegies and cakes, quiet a few plant stalls and timber wares.
