Fish and chips was fresh and great as were the scallops and calamari. Coleslaw was delicious too. Dined in and place was clean, staff were friendly and helpful.

Located at the wharf. I'm normally a Flippers man myself but have Mako a crack on a friend's suggestion. Friendly service and got the premo seat at the end. This is the seafood platter. It was big and really good. Very fresh fish, hand cut chips and the scallops topped the lot. Highly rate. Cheers

So if you don't want a fancy meal, and you are on the harbour and feel like seafood then this has to be a top spot to choose. This is your classic fish and chip takeaway but the good thing about this place is that you can dine in if you want to. The fish is super fresh and tasty, the chips fat, hot and not over greasy and the portions are a good size so excellent value for money. We will definitely be back. The fish was some of the best we have ever had and we really enjoyed the whole experience.

Is it the best fish n chips I've ever had - no. However, it was tasty, reasonably priced, and serving staff member was friendly and helpful. They were very busy and had to wait around 20 mins for our food, understandable when busy though so no complaints there. The downside is it just does feel like it needs a good clean. Perhaps even if the staff in the kitchen wore kitchen workwear instead of jeans & scrungy t-shirts would give a better first impression? Well worth giving them a go though, we'll be back no doubt when in the area.

Fishmonger that says they can’t gut and clean the fish they sell. Why. The owner addressed and followed up on a reasonable explanation for this promptly as below which we much appreciate.

Pretty awesome seafood restaurant! Crab sticks and chips were kinda meh, but everything else was delicious

Dirty setting, felt like breathing in grease in the air, couldn’t comfortable place hands anywhere, grimey, staff friendly but not clean food practices, staff were eating ice cream whilst cooking, oil too hot and cooked on outside but barely cooked on the inside - both the fish and chips. Salad was fresh and coleslaw good. Wouldn’t recommend at all
