Good food and generous portions. Just that the restaurant is a bit dated, with the chairs being most uncomfortable. A bit of upkeep and this will be a good place for your Indian fix right in the center of Hobart CBD

Highly recommended to taste pure authentic Indian cuisine in Hobart! Biryani is so yummy and they serve quite a big amount. You can even share two people.love this place and will come again ...
Incredibly long wait times, we were seated for 30 minutes before anyone took our order, didn’t give us menus until we asked. Had to ask for drink menus also and ask to order as no one checked in on us. Drinks forgotten to be bought to table and again needing to ask. Entrees took an hour after ordering to be ready and mains another 30 minutes after that (we had to again ask why it was taking so long as the service was so poor). Food was ok but not the best curry around Hobart and service was very poor, slow and left a feeling that they did not care about customers at all.
This was the most delicious curry I've had in Hobart. Big servings - one curry is easily enough for two people, which we found out the hard way after having to take the rest home in a takeaway container they very kindly provided for us. Garlic naan and rice was also delicious, definitely going back here!

Felt like walking into a little India. Nice environment, delicious, quick, affordable food. Accommodating to children and vegetarians. Happy we dropped in.
If there were any lower stars I would choose that option. I usually don’t write reviews unless it has really impacted my time and experience.Unfortunately on my trip to Tasmania the first place we went for dinner was this restaurant and we ordered a full meal for three people and left everything as it is after tasting it. The chef who is also the owner of the place did not even have the courtesy to ask what we had to say about his food when we mentioned to the waitress that the food is pathetic and we want to speak to the chef so that he doesn’t serve such bad food and call it Indian food.
Delicious homely food, no frills! Food came out relatively quickly, though we were worried it might not, based on other reviews. Overall good experience with service and food. No complaints!
