After having to attend the department of transport in Mackay several time recently, I have to commend all the staff and management for running a good operation. It is a busy place and the service has been rather excellent compared with what you would expect from a government department. Friendly staff, too happy to help and a receptionist to help you with the all the documents you need. very efficient congrats

It’s a very busy place with limited parking but I’ve found the the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. You will have to line up and take a number but usually you’re out of there in 20-30 minutes

Terrible office with unhelpful staff, avoid this branch and go to Rockhampton. If you live rural like me and you drives 5 hours to get here only to be told something else, its a waist of 10 hours. Have too also agree with the last review too, Queensland roads are a joke, you better off driving alongside the roads in the dirt.

Friday afternoon didn't have to wait more than 15 min. Renewed licence didn't have to fill any forms pretty quick and easy.
