I got together a group of 10 and we went to see Fort Lytton at night just before Christmas and it was fantastic! None of us really knew what to expect, just that it was some kind of guided history thing - but wow, it was so much more than that. We couldn't get over how well the actors knew their lines and how they obviously loved what they were doing. You just couldn't fault them! Their stories were so engaging and sometimes brought a tear to the eye, I'm not ashamed to say. Everything was supported by terrific 'surround sound' and the neat idea of walking with amazingly effective lanterns. I really can't recommend this fabulous evening enough. Go and find out about some great history in a great setting during a great evening!

This is a hidden gem, very enthusiastic volunteers, very knowledgeable and happy to take time to talk to people. Good toilet facilities, take along a picnic as only have snacks, tea and coffee and cold drinks. Well worth a visit. Gold coin donation.

Well worth the visit, well laid out. The fort is really facinating with all the work being done. The grounds are well maintained and lots of things to look at ,the museum is a joy to read and see lots of displays. Great picnic area to.

A great part of our history... and family friendly place to visit. Thank you to all special people who take care of this beautiful part of Brisbane's history. I have added some photographs looking from the river onto Fort Lytton.

Huge thank you to all the volunteers, in particular Ian Wheeler, they are a fantastic group of people. When I told Ian that my grandfather worked and lived here he went out of his way to find out information for my family. He found photos of the house that mum spent her early years in and gave our extended family group a fantastic tour. This place is a wonderful view into how the previous generations lived. I love visiting here.

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly volunteers - highly recommend their guided tours. Check the website for the timings and give yourself enough time to travel down. Would be good if you can catch the Canon firing only on certain days and specific timing. Free entry so please donate or purchase their beverages. Formerly on CALTEX land and CALTEX is just beside so you might experience some noise or smells.
