This is an excellent library and has a lot of really great books for people to read and the staff here are always kind and pleasant and i really love volunteering here on a Thursday afternoon working in the children's area.

Probably the most disappointing state library out of the lot (and that includes the NT's). It's a pitty because there really are a lot of beautiful historic buildings Hobart could have used for a library befitting that of the title 'State Library'.

Lots of children's sections were rearranged. The kids were a bit confused but soon found their way. Very helpful staff as always. We are so happy to be back in the Hobart State library ️.
