Sublime. The food was so fresh and delightful. It will be our reason for returning to Tasmania. Amazingly accommodating. They made us feel like we were the only ones in the room. Blissful!!! They even gave us two little chocolate treats after paying the bill.

We dropped in on a public holiday and had lovely service, food was really enjoyable although we had a bit of a wait for it to come out. Not unreasonable, given how booked they were. Small plates are small and prices aren't cheap but the quality was wonderful. Great, stylish layout too

Great location by the river. Superb food and service. Casual, elegant. Fish and chips ... unbeatable! The fish was cooked to perfection and I'm sure the chef weaves a spell over the chips ... Service was excellent - attentive, friendly and entertaining without being obtrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Stillwater is generally reckoned to be the best restaurant in northern Tasmania and is worth visiting on any trip to Launceston. The menu is set out as snacks, entrees, mains and dessert, and the 3 courses for 90 is good value, considering the quality of the food. Scallops were a great “snack” and the Tiger prawn dumplings surprised with the presentation and had a nice bite to them. Mains were perhaps the least impressive of the dishes but were still enjoyable. Beware if you order the potatoes as a side, as they are almost a main in their own right. In January the place was packed, and staff did a good job changing tables, taking orders and delivering meals. The venue is superb – a historic building on the waterfront, and within walking distance of most parts of the city, and there’s plenty of parking right outside or on the street, if you’re here for dinner.

The accomodation at Stillwater was amazing and the customer service was even better. I had to change the dates of my booking due to moving our honeymoon due to Covid-19. The team were amazing in their communication to me and nothing was too much of an ask. I would definitely recommend staying at Stillwater if you’re in Launceston, it’s the perfect location and everything is in walking distance including the Cataract Gorge. Finally, the food and service in their restaurant was of a highly quality and shows why it’s a highly recommended place to visit in Launceston.

We had the best stay! Everything was perfect. The rooms are beautiful, service was outstanding, restaurant amazing. Could not recommend this place highly enough. Every detail has been carefully considered. Chris looked after us and provided the best service I have ever experienced.

Such a beautiful spot and food was delicious! The seafood was so fresh and the gnocchi main was incredible. The staff were also lovely - knowledgeable and very helpful when it came to dietary requirements. Thanks for a great dinner!
