I can not speak highly enough of the food and service Jean Marc and Elisabeth provided for us for my daughters 18th birthday lunch September 2013. Jean Marc created a special menu to cater to our budget and tastes. He could not be more helpful. On the day, we were welcomed to the most beautiful setting under the pergola at the side of the restaurant. Elisabeth waited on us hand and foot. We were given (extra to our menu) a starter before the meal began then a really yummy sparkling red wine and sorbet shot between the entree and main. The chocolate mouse cake for dessert was absolutely delicious. Everyone raved about the food. It really was the perfect day. Thank you once again Jean Marc and Elisabeth. Regards Sandra Hewitt

That isn't rudeness - that's genuine French offhand treatment - perfected over the centuries across thousands of French eating establishments. You'll certainly find it everywhere in France - consider it a part of your authentic dining experience. Narcissistic diners over-influenced by US-style conceptions of 'service' (which originate in a craven desire to be tipped) should not attend here. The food was excellent and served promptly. The chef takes pride in his work. I would definitely go there again if intending to "splash out" on a meal.

Had a fantastic dinner at La Provence last night. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service. Can't wait to visit again!

Bit disappointed really. Went there for my anniversary with my partner, expecting high hopes for this place. The food was pretty average. The main problem was the prawns. They tasted old, hadnt be cleaned properly as there was still sand thru the prawn itself. The one bonus point I can give them is that they noticed we were disappointed with them, and tried to rectify it by giving me a free champagne sorbet. All in all. Is not a place I will be likely to go back to.

We had not been impressed at all by this restaurant! TV-chef Gordon Ramsay would have a great opportunity to teach them many things! Service: unprofessional Timing: first course came 1.5 hours after arrival, total 3 hours for a basic menu! Food: Starter "tarte..." reminded us to a small pizza, nothing fancy, served with a baked apple, hmm? Main course: Duck (canard) was overcooked, very small meat portion Dessert: Creme Brulee, served ice cold (top should be heated up) Presentation: so, so Ambiance of restaurant: quite basic, not much French, without love for detail, no personal touch, not cozy! In France, this restaurant would have no chance of survival.
