I noticed Kri Kri about a month ago when I was strolling down Chinatown as Kri Kri is my favourite ice cream brand in Greece. Nice, somewhat outdated, interior. Good, old music (50’s & 60’s Greek Chanson). Good menu options, so it took us a while to decide what to order. It made me an impression that both waiters were Latin and the chef was Asian - that got me a bit worried. Ordered Calamari, Grilled Octopus, Manitaria (Mushrooms), Skordalia (Mashed Potatoes with Garlic), and a Greek Salad together with a bottle of Mythos (beer) and a glass of Sav. Everything came within 20 minutes and was presented beautifully. The mushrooms were really nice and had the right amount of garlic and rosemary. Skordalia - it was very starchy and there wasn’t enough garlic in it. Greek Salad - you never crumb the feta! C’mon - that’s quite basic! The Calamari was OK, but nothing to write home about. The Grilled Octopus was a disappointment - it was chewy and it didn’t have a char taste. Overall, it was decent, but it wasn’t great. Truth be told, if I knew the chefs weren’t Greek, I wouldn’t have gone in to begin with. 100 for the whole lot - I could have five times better food in Oakleigh at half the price. I’m happy I satisfied my curiosity, but I wouldn’t be back.

Had the Groupon deal here. Gave us not enough pita bread for the dips. The cheese dish was way too salty.Waited 1.5 hours for 6 pieces of calamari... Meat was dry. Potatos were so basic. Dessert was not traditionally made. Not a hint of Greek in this 'Greek' restaurant. Best part was the store bought vanilla ice cream. Overall took us over 2 hours for all the food to come.... Staff were unprofessional; they told us to blame the kitchen for the late food and not them when all we did was ask for the status of the food. Don't know if I will be giving this place another chance.
