I started in the M1 class at the beginning of this year, and I can honestly say that I have seen and felt a big difference in my Korean understanding. The Teacher is lovely with a very positive attitude and the hours are good for me as an adult. (Saturday afternoon) Its also encouraging that I will be able to move up a level each year for at least 3 years. I would recommend this course to others.

Classes with Ebony are always fun and interesting- she has a bright personality, approachable and dedicated in teaching Korean to her students. Her lessons are well-structured, with good quality study materials which she reviews regularly to enable students to learn the language well. I highly respect Ebony and her team of teachers for their dedication in teaching Korean. It makes learning the language so much easier!

Learning Korean in KLCEC was probably one of the best decision that I've made while I was here for university back in 2011. I had some very basic understanding of Korean before joining the class - but I wasn't really confident with my grasp of grammar. Ms. Bae (or lovingly known as 배선생님) had her classes well structured, that allows her student to grasp the basic of the language fast without compromising on the quality of knowledge. I thought it was incredibly important to strike the balance between the rhythm of the class with the amount of knowledge gained - not too fast that you can't get anything learned, but not too slow either lest you lose interest of the language. That was what I thought Ms.Bae did extremely well - I was able to keep my interest even up till this day because of the confidence in grasping the language further. I was also particularly happy that Ms. Bae encourages her student who has completed M4 to take on the TOPIK exam (Test Of Proficiency In Korean; JLPT equivalent for Korean language that is acknowledged by most institution in South Korea); I personally think it is an admirable feat as most language school will only get you to level up in their own institution, Ms. Bae wants her student to really put what they learn into practice and make sure that you are confident in using the language when in Korea. Apart from that, I was also fortunate to receive a scholarship from Ms. Bae at Sogang University for my Korean language course in 2014. With all that I was taught under the guidance of Ms. Bae, my interviewer from Sogang University was surprised with my level of understanding for Korean language with only 60 hours of class time (she double-asked me to make sure that it was 60 hours and not 160 hours \u003e\u003c). All in all, I've had a great experience learning Korean with Ms. Bae - if only I didn't have to return to my home country, I would have continued with Ms. Bae till today. )

My daughter is heavily into Kpop and is currently studying Korean Language with Ebony at KLCEC. I have to say this has been the best decision to make for a child who loves the Kpop scene! The benefits have been amazing and finally being able to understand the words to the songs is so good! Ebony structures her classes to involve the interests of her students and this encourages their learning as it caters directly to them. My daughter thoroughly enjoys her weekly lessons and they are the highlight to her week. She has such a passion for her classes that she is bouncing to go to them every time! I love watching how this has made her grow and expand her cultural knowledge also. You can choose to take Ebony's classes right through to a completely recognised ATAR subject also which is what my daughter is aiming for. An amazing opportunity for teenagers who want to combine their Kpop and K-Drama Interests and school! I can highly recommend KLCEC! Ebony's classes are fun, modern and friendly and your child will come away with not only life long skills but the confidence to use them, all whilst making new like minded friends!

Ebony Bae is an experienced, dedicated teacher. She uses relevant curriculum and adapts her materials regularly to enhance learning and engage her students. Ebony instills passion in her students and works hard to provide them with different opportunities to enhance their learning (I.e. immersion courses, TOPIK preparation, extra grammar classes etc.). Additionally, Ebony's classes become a family - developing life long friendships. I have been studying with Ebony on and off for many years. She gave me the confidence to live and work in Korea. Now that I have returned to Australia, I have reconnected with Ebony and am returning to study with her. I would (and often do) highly recommend Ebony and the Korean Language & Cultural Education Center.
