Amazing shop! Beautiful selection of jewellery, clothes and a lot of wonderful books. Very lovely owners who let us return a coat that we had just bought but were deathly allergic to. They were very understanding and refunded us without an issue. Such a shame, it was a really cool coat!

Can not believe I was not able to try on a skirt ...The display from the outside looks appealing however the Lady behind the counter will ruin your day with her abrupt social skills. I regret ever walking in. If you wish to buy some second hand clothing you are obligated to try the item on first as their are no exchanges, however this does not apply if the Lady thinks the item will not fit you.

I've been going to Kookaburra for many years, cannot walk past it. It's one of our favourite shops. I can not go in there without finding several amazing books I'd just love to buy often leading to hard choices. There is also an eclectic range of antiques most of which I could afford, and quality vintage clothes and fabrics. Friendly, helpful staff

Kookaburra is one of my favourite shops in Hobart that I always recommend to friends visiting Hobart. Over the years I have regularly purchased jewelry, vintage clothing, books and many wonderful finds for my home; from antique tribal fishing spears to silk Rajasthan bed throws. The staff are always welcoming, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. If you are keen to purchase interesting items for very reasonable prices, a visit to Kookaburra is a must do!
