I had a great experience here. I ordered the mushroom risotto. The flavour was incredible. Sadly the rice wasn't cooked the whole way through, but the waiter brought me my second choice within a few minutes, as well as a round of drinks on the house as an apology. I'm sad that the risotto wasn't right because it tasted so good, but the service and recovery from their mistake was so wonderful that I'm keen to go back and try the risotto next time I'm in town. Everything else my family had tasted delicious. Super impressed with this place.

The best Italian food I've eaten for a long time - especially loved the "straw and hay" spaghetti, which was amazing. Wine is well priced, and our group of 7 had a great night.
Very nice food and wine - a bit fancy too. There's something going on with the mobile reception inside but I think that's a good thing - no scrolling during dinner.
Our first visit on Friday night and we had a great night ! The service was excellent - friendly, professional and prompt. Our food was delicious and well priced. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Canberra - thank you Salotto for a terrific night ! Highly recommend this place, very nice
The food was wonderful. Truly Italian cooking. The reasons I didn't give 5 stars are 1: I had an Amaretto Sour cocktail. Two sips and it was gone. A lot of money for a glass of ice. 2: I had garlic prawns and spaghetti Al mare. It would be nice to have had a bowl for the shells.
Had a dinner here with friends for my birthday. The staff were attentive, friendly and did everything they could to make it a memorable evening (e.g. taking photos for us). Everything came out quickly and even though we only had the table for 2 hours, they let us stay a bit longer! It was a great setting for a low-key celebration.
My pizza came out cold and not fully cooked and had to be sent back. I would have been happy with them throwing it back in the oven but they cooked a whole new one. Which meant I didn't get my meal until everyone else in my group was finished! So appreciated the effort but not a great outcome. Sangria was nice but only a small jug for the cost. Others in my group reported food was okay but not great. Overall okay but I wouldn't go out of my way to return.
Beautiful food, nice atmosphere and ambience. House red wine has a lovely flavour... I recommend giving it a try, even if your not "big" on reds I am sure you'll be pleasantly surprised
