What a fabulous restaurant! We visited Taverna on our recent vacation to Kingscliff and experienced the Sunday chef's banquet. The food was delicious (haloumi, scallops, fish and lamb), the cocktails fabulous and the service faultless. The restaurant has ambience and is beautifully decorated. I would eat here again in a heartbeat - and so should anyone reading this review. Thank you to the staff for an immensely enjoyable dining experience!

Absolutely brilliant restaurant! Enjoyed an amazing meal there last night. Food was of great quality, staff where excellent and the ambience perfect. If you are a local or ever in Kingscliff do yourself a favour and check it it!

We opted for the 65 p/p banquet which showcased small portions of their best dishes. We were super full after a two hour sitting. Each dish came very fast with little waiting time. A delightful night out.

I was super excited to visit Taverna. My husband and I booked 2 weeks ahead. The place is beautiful but a bit hot inside. We enjoyed the food. Just a bit disappointed about the service. We had to wait for a long time to get drinks. Once we finished and were ready to order more we couldn’t get anyone’s attention to order more drinks. Overall was a god experience.

An excellent place to sit and enjoy fabulous food,great service and fine wine. Highly recommend eating here. Excellent Greek cusine

Great food, setting and service. We sat outside, which seemed the opposite choice to most, but was a lovely evening so was our preferred choice. Plates varied in size, we got a good selection though and had more than enough for two people. Our waiter was knowledgeable & v friendly. Would highly recommend.

My partner and I had booked this place weeks in advance with high hopes for a birthday dinner. We arrived at the venue and were greeted by a friendly steward who showed us to our table. It was all downhill from here. We were sat in a crammed corner with flies buzzing above our table. We were not greeted by a waitress for over 40 minutes! that’s right, we hadn’t seen the menu or been asked for drinks in 40 minutes. Absolutely disgusting service. Minutes away from walking out we finally got given the menu and ordered our food. After receiving our food we had to battle with the flies for our share of sustenance. I went to the toilet and couldn’t even lock the door for crying out loud! Fine dining... pfft. If you want fine dining go to Kingscliff pizza & pasta down the road. Much better service and you’ll save a couple of hundred dollars off your dinner bill. Very disappointed... would not recommend.
