This is my favourite Japanese restaurant around UNSW Kensington campus where I could always get a decent lunch bento box with generous proportions and complementary barley tea. Tried a few other items with my friend - the spicy hot pot and soymilk hot pot, soft shell crab roll, an aburi platter of salmon, kingfish and scallops, and the ebi tempura. Both of us were very happy with the freshness and quality of the food. The big, deep-fried prawn was flavourful and tender. The bento Kensington comes with a main (choices of Katsu, Karage, Teriyaki) and some side dishes, usually 3 Octopus balls (Takoyaki), 3 California rolls, and some appetizing seaweed. We ordered the Karage chicken, which was a bit dry, personally I would prefer the juicy Teriyaki with a chewy and gooey texture, but Takoyaki is never disappointing.

We had an excellent time here. The food was great, huge portions and lovely staff. We had the chicken katsu (great sauce), soft shell crab roll (our winner), prawn tempura roll, a salmon type roll and seaweed salad. The rolls are huge! See photo for scale.

Good Japanese restaurant in Kensington near UNSW for casual Japanese dinning. Came here for lunch on friday afternoon and they have a big menu selective of Sashimi, Sushi Nigiri, Sushi roll, Lunch Bento Box, Teriyaki & Grilled, Fry, Udon, side dishes to choose from. You order by marking a sheet, which you get when you sit down. We tried the Teriyaki Bento Box with Teriyaki Chicken as a main and served with california roll, takoyaki, wakame seaweed with rice & miso soup. We also order the 5 piece mixed Prawns and Vegetable Tempura and their new special tonkotsu ramen. It's good portion and great value to eat here the food was easy to like and they have self served green tea.

The best sushi in Sydney. There, I said it. The fish is always fresh and the sushi is consistently outstanding. Fresh crunchy ingredients, perfectly cooked and vinegar'ed rice and great value for money. What more could one ask for?

Sushi Tengoku makes the best big macs iv'e ever had, also really good pizza 100% recommend this place and if you see a worker named Jamie, run away he looks 15 but is 47 and he takes children.

40 mins for two takeaways... Would have been appreciated if the person who took the order could tell us that a mistake was made instead of letting us waiting. My partner went twice in to check if everything was ok with the order and nothing was told. Your restaurant serve good food but I will think twice before ordering again. The service definitely need to be improved.

Great Sushi place with a relaxed atmosphere. Sushi and sashimi always tastes so good! Love the Tomago Nigiri, so big and tasty! So happy to have Sushi Tengoku back here after they moved for a while!
