On a couple of occasions, I have been lucky enough to attend the Kartwheel Kids Gymnastics and Circus Awards Day/Showcase. The gymnastic students were aged from about 3yrs old to 15. They were enjoying their performances individually and within groups. While each age group waited for their turn to perform, I was so impressed with their behaviour. They sat quietly near the performance area. There was no running around or loud talking. Rhonda Pacholke, the owner and coach, along with the assistance of her sister, Desley, impressed me with their happy and quiet leadership and supportive skills towards all the students. It was such a joy to watch the children enjoying their gymnastic and acrobatic skills and their really good behaviour. Well done Rhonda and Desley. You are doing a great job. Thank you.

Our daughter broke her arm at school after the gymnastics term had started at Kartwheels. I contacted the owner to tell her the situation and asked for a refund. She said Oh I'm so sorry, yes we can refund and asked for a doctor's certificate needed for her insurance to work... I sent her this document. She then asked if I planned to put my daughter in Karwheels during the next term, so instead of a cash reimbursement I would get a "credit". I said yes. I didn't hear from her again for about a month, then contacted her to know about the insurance thing. I also told her that we plan on moving away from Caloundra, so I'd prefer a refund corresponding to the classes that my daughter didn't take. Her answer was that the insurance only worked if we took the credit (not paying for next period)... Hmmmm... I know how insurances work and this sounded fishy. So, no money back and a lesson learned: Kartwheel Kids will let you down if it comes to it. For the rest, the gymnastics looked pretty standard compared to other places in the area (YMCA, Just Acrobatics..).
