We just returned from a lunch at Kaneda. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We had a slight mix up with the booking app, and the staff were great in sorting it out.

This little Japanese gem is hidden away off the street and well worth a visit. This is my go to for lunch anytime I'm shopping in town. Sashimi is always fresh and the food is delicious. Great value for money.

Very poor service and quality of food. No greet from waiter, would leave you waiting for 15mins outside. (Had to go in and ask for table). Food quality was absolutely shocking. I'd steer away from this joint.

Terrible food, rude service and the one thing you’d expect not to be terrible was too / the can of Coca-Cola was warmer than room temperature. Insulting bad food, would never go back.

Two Sheds

Kaneda is a cheap and cheerful Japanese cafe with a great range of bento boxes and other dishes. I tried the sushi/sashimi bento box and my companion had the tempura box. You get the selected food plus a range of other pieces. In the tempura set, for example, you receive a California roll, fried chicken, spring roll, green salad, miso soup and rice. We also shared five pieces of crumbed prawn, the ebi fry. In addition, we had curry korokke. The food was tasty and delivered really well for lunch. No delays either. The food came out swiftly and efficiently, critical when you’re concerned about elapsing time and getting back to the wonders of the workplace. Kaneda is a great find tucked away in the Mid City Arcade. It is highly recommended.

Small restaurant but prices are so affordable that its worth coming here. Spent 50 and had a feast more than enough for 2 people! Food is not mind blowingly good or incredibly bad but staff are nice and atmosphere is cute and prices are cheap
