Surprising find in Carlingford! Ties in well with World War 2 naval history. I also note the name Thetis - a British submarine that sank during diving trials in Liverpool England. A must-visit for anyone interested in World War 2 naval history.

Good landmark for giving directions cos of that giant K13. Finally read the story the other day about what it's all about and is kinda dumb - some submarine sunk during a test dive in WW1 cos they left a bunch of vents and hatches open and some people died

Just passed by this area as I was walking noticing several car parking spaces and the monument. Nice view and place to take some short rest. Lies along the highway.
